NEW TREES PLANTED IN PRINCES PARK

It was a bleak day on the Saturday but Friends of Princes Park, council workers and  locals turned out to plant near the Belvedere Road girls school in the park. We planted holly, oak, rose bushes and many other shrubs and trees.

There was also a tree plant on the Sunday to finish the job when the sun came out and it was a glorious day.
Photos to follow soon.....

STOP HEATHROW AIRPORT 3RD RUNWAY....OWN SOME LAND

If you'd like to stop the 3rd runway being built at Heathrow airport visit http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/ and see the 'airplot' project.
You can become the beneficiary owner (free or donation) of some runway land which Greenpeace have purchased in the village of Sipson, north of Heathrow.
700 houses, schools and shops will have to be demolished, basically a whole village will be demolished to create the 3rd runway.

You can then refuse to sell it to Heathrow Airport when they try and make a compulsory purchase order.

The government are going against their commitments to the environment by building this highly polluting runway. Please help protect the planet.
